Bootcamp Winner

Congratulations Andrea from Paper Presence for winning the Tradeshow Bootcamp Giveaway!

Andrea said...
Tradeshow Bootcamp is already a great idea & opportunity, but a giveaway, too?! Yay! My question is "how do I know what to exhibit, i.e. what are buyers looking for?"
We're looking forward to answering this question (along with the others posted) on September 29th. Thanks so much for entering.

GIVEAWAY:::Tradshow Bootcamp

I am super excited that Katie has asked me to speak at Tradeshow Bootcamp this fall. Even better, I have a space to giveaway for the Booth Logistics workshop!! All of your burning questions about how to set up your space, deal with union labor, shipping and more will be answered.

Amber Ellis Seguine (FlyWheel Press), Katie Hunt (Kelp Designs) and yours truly will share our experiences designing, setting-up and pre-planning booth logistics for the National Stationery Show and New York International Gift Show.  Topics will include:
·          Pros + cons of sharing a booth
·          Setting a budget for the booth
·          Shipping + schlepping
·          Booth furnishings + vendor services
·          Q&A

To enter the giveaway for a chance to win a seat in the workshop just leave a comment on this post with your most burning question about booth set-up. I'll announce the winner on Monday, September 19th. Even if you've already signed up for the Bootcamp you can still enter the giveaway (if you win your fee for the workshop will be refunded)!

Birthday wishes and a new project

Have you seen the new 20 in 20 project from Aesthetic Outburst yet? Well, if you haven't, make sure you check it out. Every day Abbey makes something fabulous (like the pieces above) and then posts it as a giveaway on her blog. I love how diverse the projects are and I'm especially enamored with the embroidery pieces.

Today is Abbey's birthday, too. A little background on my dear friend. I met Abbey 12 years ago when we were freshmen in college. We took intro to drawing together and bonded over our shared hatred of the class. I think we complained about it the entire semester and then promptly enrolled in printmaking together where my first etching was a mermaid and Abbey's was a seahorse (or possibly a sandcastle). I'm happy to say that after all these years, Abbey is still one of my closest, most talented friends. Happy Birthday Abbey!

Woodland Animal Mask Giveaway

I'm thrilled to announce a Woodland Animal Mask giveaway! These incredibly sweet masks were designed by Abbey Hendrickson and letterpress printed by Pistachio Press. There are three different masks - a bunny, a pheasant, and a fox.  We think these are just perfect for birthday party favors, a special summer project, or even just to frame and hang!

Each kit includes:
1 mask ready to color
4 crayons
ribbon

Abbey is hosting a mask giveaway on her lovely blog. To enter, just head over to Aesthetic Outburst and leave a comment on the post. Three winners will be chosen on Tuesday, June 1.

I hope you enjoy this holiday weekend!

Print giveaway!

Alright, we made it to NYC. I'm going to try to do a bigger post a little later (once I can sort through email and get dinner), but I wanted to pop on here and let you know about a Pistachio Press print giveaway on A Cup of Jo. The Daylight Dreamers print designed by Jackie Bos and the Portraits print designed by mummysam are available. The giveaway ends tomorrow, so head on over and leave a comment!

We Love Liam:::Giveaway

Liam is an active six year old who happens to have a neuromuscular disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2. His mom Lynn, from the lovely Satsuma Press, has organized a giveaway to raise funds for a bathroom remodel so that Liam can have a fully functional bathroom in his house (complete with roll-in shower).

Fifty-one artists have donated work for the giveaway, including Pistachio Press. I urge you to head over and check out the details of the giveaway here and then check out the list of participants, they're all great!

Giveaway: Finger Lakes Wedding Affair

I am super excited to be preparing for the Finger Lakes Wedding Affair this weekend.  It's my first bridal show where I will be a vendor.  To be honest, I never even went to a bridal show when I was a bride! At the time I was in grad school and Jake and I were in the process of buying our house, so there was never any time for me to head over to a show.  But, if I had been able to go, this is the show I would have wanted to see.  I can assure you that the Wedding Affair is going to be amazing and I hear there will even be ice sculptures pouring peppermint martinis! And a couture fashion show, manicures, hors d'oeuvres, facials, and of course, many awesome vendors for you to meet.
